Untourist guide
An untourist guide to funtribution
The Untourism Movement invites you to explore a different Amsterdam, connect with local pioneers and become a changemaker. The movement is formed by more than 200 social entrepreneurs, non-profits, alternative city guides, hotels, hostels and other pioneers that want to change tourism in Amsterdam for the better.
The Untourist Guide offers experiences in Amsterdam that involves the opportunity to Marry an Amsterdammer for a day, the chance to turn trash into your own upcycled souvenir or meet people while picking weeds at an urban farm.
The movement is all about encouraging a different way of tourism – and in May – June 2020, they launched a digital festival to Reinvent Tourism.
Based on the principle of Change with A Smile, the Untourism Movement wants you to contribute your skills and ideas to the local community in exchange for having fun – or, as they call it: funtribution!
