Smarta kartan
A smart map leads to smart sharing
The smart map – or Smarta Kartan – aims to make it easier for the people of Gothenburg and visitors of the city to live and experience more sustainably by encouraging a sense of community, facilitating new ways of meeting and promoting access rather than ownership of things.
Smarta Kartan maps current and upcoming activities and networks, as well as exchanges, give-aways, maker- and hackerspaces, access to bike, boat and car sharing, access to secure and free phone charging or renting of outdoor equipment – all within the categories of Things, Spaces, Mobility, Food, Knowledge and Meetings.
Anyone can submit a proposal for something to be shown on the map, which is then evaluated in joint consultation between the association Collaborative Economy Gothenburg, the City of Gothenburg and Citizen Services Administration.
Smarta Kartan is an exaple of participatory community building in urban environments (11.3)
Smarta Kartan reduces waste by encouraging shared economy, second hand acquisitions and rental (12.2, 12.3, 12.5)
