Explore Copenhagen as the captain of your own boat

GoBoat is a boat rental service that operates in the canals of Copenhagen. The boats are easy to operate and require no prior sailing experience to captain. The boats have a capacity of eight passengers and can be rented for up to three hours. Groups that wish to rent a boat choose a designated captain who is given brief instructions on how to navigate the vessel before take-off.

To minimise the environmental impact of the trips, GoBoats are powered from solar, water and wind energy, and passengers are encouraged to bring fishing nets to collect waste from the water and keep the canals clean.

GoBoat’s rental building, dock and on-board tables are built with sustainable FSC-certified wood, and the roof of the rental building is covered by solar cells. Additionally, passengers can purchase organic wines and snacks from GoBoat’s deli before embarking on their tour.
