The Sustainable & Social Tourism Summit

-

The Sustainable & Social Tourism Summit is a yearly conference in Mexico that works to increase sustainability in Latin American tourism. The event is aimed at professionals in sustainable tourism such as entrepreneurs in the tourism value chain, local, national and international authorities, consultants, researchers and more.
The summit connects professionals to find mutual solutions to sustainability and social responsibility challenges in tourism. 250 B2B appointments between sustainable buyers and sellers were made during the 2018 summit, which also triggered the creation of around 15 alliances and partnerships between actors in the public, private and social sector. These alliances are intended to facilitate continuous cooperation and knowledge sharing between the actors in sustainable tourism
From 2017 – 2020, the conference brought together 160 speakers from 35 countries to debate and share knowledge with more than 1600 attendees. Due to COVID-19, the 4th edition of the conference in 2020 was held entirely digitally.
