Dual Narrative
Dual Narrative Tours bridge social divides
Dual Narrative Tours, created by tour company MEJDI Tours, is an initiative that enables travellers to gain a comprehensive and nuanced understanding of the history of their destination and the people who live there. The tours are led by two guides each representing different, and often contrasting, backgrounds in order to offer a diverse and multi-faceted narrative.
Launched in Israel and Palestine, the original dual narrative tour featured two guides; one from Israel and one from Palestine. The tour proved so popular that the initiative has since been expanded to all of MEJDI’s locations across the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
Guides are chosen based on their relevance to the geopolitical climate of the respective destination. Speakers include, but are not limited to: Political and religious leaders, grassroots activists, policymakers, minority groups, refugees, artists, journalists and writers.
