ResiRest is a platform that connects locals in low-income countries with visitors for home dining experiences. Visitors are matched with local families who prepare a traditional meal in return for a fair price.
The experience provided can be much more than just a dining experiences. If desired, visitor and host can meet up early for shopping and to prepare the meal together for a more personal experience. By opening their doors and having dinner together, local families can increase their income while simultaneously building a bridge between visitors and locals.
ResiRest operates in more than 30 countries – primarily in Asia, Africa and Latin America. ResiRest works with NGOs and employs local coordinators to select the families, facilitate transactions in an orderly fashion and to ensure general safety and food standards. In the end, 85% of the income goes directly to the host family.
