BC Hospitality
BC Hospitality Group represents responsible hospitality
BC Hospitality Group (BCHG) runs several international hotels in Copenhagen. BCHG has developed a comprehensive CSRplan to improve for the group’s social impact.
To overcome challenges of workforce inclusion, BCHG launched the Job Academy Programme offering refugees internships and classes in Danish language, culture and labour market. After the programme, 12 out of 29 participants found employment at the five-star Marriott Hotel, Copenhagen.
The group also runs a practical education program focused on 9th graders (14-15 year olds). The program deals mainly with gastronomy and event planning, and presents students with concrete examples of the many possibilities a career and education in hospitality can offer.
In terms of environmental impact, BCHG works with Too Good To Go and Treatbox to minimize food waste at its facilities
BCHG ran a campaign to help refugees find employment in the Danish work force (8.5, 8.6, 8.8, 8.9)
BCHG runs a practical secondary school education program focussed on skills needed in the hospitality industry (4.1, 4.3, 4.4)
BCHG reduces waste by cooperating with Too Good To Go and TreatBox to sell leftover food (12.3, 12.5)
