Visualfy turns audio to visuals

Visualfy is a Spanish startup that creates solutions for those who suffer from hearing impairment. Visualfy’s app relies on AI technology to identify audible cues in the user’s vicinity and ”translate” them into visual or sensorial notifications.

Visualfy’s app is available for personal use, but can also be implemented in hotels, museums and tourism businesses to make their spaces and services more accessible to the hearing impaired. The app tracks and visualises all relevant sounds to help users stay aware of their surroundings. Tracked sounds include crying babies, fire alarms, potential theft, door knocks and unhealthy levels of noise pollution. The notifications are written and colour-coded, and they set of a vibration to alert the user when the phone is not in use.

In addition, Visualfy works with a Spanish live call centre to further aid its users, if need be. Users can call the centre for personal, visual assistance in the form of sign-language translations to improve real time communication.
