Live Electric Tours is a Lisbon-based startup that combines car rental, sustainability and sightseeing. Visitors can rent a fully electric Renault Twizy to explore the city in their own pace. The Twizys are equipped with a live camera for streaming/recording and an audio GPS guide in multiple languages. The GPS guide can provide information about points of interest on predefined tours, but will also offer insights even if the users choose to take their own route.

Tour offerings are customizable and often combined with other attractions. Apart from the car rental, the Lisbon Modern tour offers an electric boat ride and tickets for the city’s oceanarium. Also included in the tours are insurance, free parking and built-in Wi-Fi.

Live Electric Tours has the ambition of being a market leader in the promotion of electric cars and sustainable urban mobility. The startup has won numerous awards for its efforts including the Special Recognition in Sustainability prize as part of UNWTO’s tourism startup competition in 2020.
