Gothenburg is a leading event city in Sweden and every year, the city attracts major cultural, sports and music events. Also in its work with events, Gothenburg puts sustainability at the core.
Got Event, the city’s events and venues company, has developed the first app that addresses accessibility within events and venues to make the experience for those living with accessibility challenges better.
The app offers live visual interpretation during events, sign language interpretation of arena sound during events, hearing loop function to amplify arena sound, information on how to get around the arena and how to get on-site assistance etc.
The app won the Innovation Award of Global Destination Sustainability Index in 2017.
